The World Cup Sylt is one of the biggest and longest running windsurfing events on the planet. Featuring all of the three main disciplines, 200,000 spectators on the beach, and some of the most extreme conditions The Sylt World Cup is one not to be missed. Westerland can be very tough in onshore winds to get out, due to the shore break. From 3-4m big waves with lots of power to small choppy waves. 3m tide. Be aware of long rock lines (ca. 20m into the sea) every 100-200m from Westerland to Kampen. You can't see them during high tide! But they are marked with a sign on the beach. Strong current when it's coming from South or North.

As well as a fantastic windsurfing destination, and the host location to some historic PWA events, Alacati has long been a hotbed of new talent in windsurfing. In recent years, the Cagla Kubat Windsurf Academy, started by one of those very talents has created exceptional youth development programs that are inspiring a new generation of racers to grab a board and take to the slalom course. Ho'okipa Beach Park, the original home of contemporary surfing on Maui, is one of the island's best-known shoreline landmarks. Maui Agriculture leased the land for the park to the County of Maui in 1933 and in a land exchange conveyed title to the Territory of Hawai'i in 1947. The name Ho'okipa means "hospitality." The surf offshore from Ho'okipa Beach Park provides surfers with waves almost all year round, as the reefs pick up both summer and winter swells. The most spectacular waves, however, occur during the winter and often reach heights of ten to fifteen feet. This tremendous surf is some of the best on Maui. Contemporary surfing started on Maui at Ho'okipa in the early 1930s, and in 1935 a small group of surfers formed the Ho'okipa Surf Club. A small building that served as a clubhouse and a set of surfboard racks were donated and constructed in the park by Harold Rice. Foremost among the charter members were two brothers, Donald and Teruo Uchimura, who have both been avid surfers as well as great promoters of the sport of surfing since the founding of the club. The Tillo International Slalom Open in Miami is a well established event boasting years of delivering great racing in beautiful conditions at Virginia Key, Florida. For 2026 it will host the second Miami PWA Youth and Junior Slalom World Cup.

In 2017, Tsukuihama beach, in Yokosuka city first played host to the Fly! ANA Windsurfing World Cup. The finest race sailors from around the globe congregate in Japan each year to continue their quest to secure the title of Professional Slalom World Champion for both men and women's divisions.Registration will take place at the 30th of October.First day of racing will be 31st of October.

Blessed with some of the finest port tack wave riding conditions anywhere in South America, Matanzas has long been renowned amongst throughbred wave sailors, and has played a favourite winter home to several pro sailors over the years, including Robby Swift, Victor Fernandez and Klaas Voget. Known for some huge peeling monsters when the swell hits, this remote and beautiful location always promises to deliver. The Maui ProAm is more than just a competition — it’s the birthplace of modern wave sailing. First held in the spring of 1982 at Ho‘okipa Beach Park, this historic event introduced the world to a new level of high-flying windsurf action. The strong spring trade winds, mixing with lingering north swells, create the perfect conditions for radical maneuvers. It was here that early aerial attempts morphed into singles, doubles, and 360s on the wave face—fueling the progression of the sport. As we look ahead, the question becomes: will we soon see triples or backs off the lip? If the wind and waves cooperate, there’s no telling how high this year’s riders will fly. FIji is legendary for its big surf, and Cloudbreak one of the most famous breaks of all. Situated offshore from Tavarua, and not far from Namotu where the first PWA Fiji Wave Classic was held in 1997, this epic reefbreak offers great riding conditions, but at the risk of destruction if you get it wrong.

Bonaire proudly hosts the PWA Youth Slalom World Cup.Set in the world-famous waters of Sorobon, Lac Bay, this event brings together top young windsurf talents from around the globe, right here in the heart of the Caribbean windsurfing paradise. Pozo Izquierdo: This spot, which is situated in the municipal area of Santa Lucía, is internationally famous on account of the ideal windsurfing conditions, the wind being ever present. In "El Arenal" (the name by which this beach is known to the local inhabitants), the wind usually blows from the left, tending to be very strong, with the result that you must use 2.8 and 4 metre sails if you want to fully enjoy this spot, which is one of the most windy places in the world. The waves are generally no less than one metre high and they can reach heights of up to 3 metres. Pozo is the ideal destination for those who have an acceptable level of skill in planing and gybing and who want to start on jumps and other aerial acrobatics.

Event: IFCA Foiling European Championship 2026 Date:July 15th to 19th 2026 Disciplines: Foiling & Fin Slalom Prize Money: 40,000 Euro (distributed according to IFCA Championship Rules). Minimum 25,000 Euro for Foiling. Venue: North Sea, Ording Beach, St. Peter-Ording (Germany) The IFCA Foiling European Championship in St. Peter-Ording offers the unique chance to fight for the official IFCA Foiling European Championship title, to win a share of the total 40,000 Euros prize money pool and a share of the 9,000 ranking points, which will count towards the overall ranking, but it is important to note that this is NOT an official PWA event. In addition to the official championship discipline “Foil Slalom' the event also features “Fin Slalom” with a maximum of 15,000 Euros of the prize money pot. Riders may decide if they want to compete in one discipline or the other, or both, and have double the chance for winning some prize money. St. Peter-Ording is a unique venue. The event takes place in the middle of the “Wattenmeer“ National Park. A huge village is set up directly on the giant Ording beach. This is one of Germany’s biggest beaches and you may drive on the sand with a car. If there is good weather thousands of visitors are expected at the beach and will provide an impressive audience. The event offers not only high-performance sport on the North Sea but also an attractive supporting program on land with stands of sponsors and partners in the village and various activities for the spectators. A huge food corner will offer various stands with street food and event catering. The venue offers a diverse range of racing conditions. Competitors may experience everything from flat-water racing in light easterly offshore winds to challenging North Sea swell and stronger onshore conditions generated by passing weather systems. Thanks to the relatively shallow water and extensive sandbanks, the shore break is generally more forgiving than at other North Sea venues, allowing both Foil and Fin Slalom competitions to be conducted safely across a wide range of conditions. The riders can expect a rider lounge in the event village with water, fruits and snacks where the can relax in between the races. An equipment area is provided which is guarded during the night from 21:00 to 09:00. Even trailers may be parked in this area directly at the beach. St. Peter-Ording offers a huge variety of accommodation from top hotels over various apartments and holiday house to camping sites. But most riders will take advantage of the free rider camp where all athletes may park their cars an sleep in their vehicles or tents. Toilets, showers and electricity are also provided free of charge for all athletes.
